Hi! I’m Jenn McConville,
founder of POP OPS.

I founded POP OPS in 2022 as an outlet for my uniquely diverse professional background. With nearly three decades of combined experience in advertising, fashion, and ecommerce, I needed a way to indulge more sides of myself on a regular basis. In traditional full time roles, I found myself leaving too much good experience on the shelf, so the concept of Fractional COO-ship felt like the perfect fit.

Here’s my story.

My career began at the age of 17 with a leap into a design studio internship in my hometown of Toronto. Following my passion for problem-solving and a visceral reaction to "it can't be done," I went on to become a multi-award-winning producer and hold leadership positions at agency giants, Publicis and DDB, as well as a few cherished, smaller agencies.

I stepped (a designer high heel) out of the ad biz in 2011 to work in the fashion industry, first as a stylist at Holt Renfrew, then as a “virtual stylist”, a role I conceived and pitched to eLUXE, a then thriving fashion ecommerce startup. I even had my moment in the spotlight as a Fashion Expert and TV Personality on Steven & Chris, CBC’s television's globally syndicated lifestyle program.

I returned to Publicis to establish and co-lead a new data-driven creative agency, Hawkeye, growing it from 5 to over 50 employees in a year, before relocating to New York to oversee production for a number of different work streams on the Citibank account. While at Publicis New York, I was hand selected to operationalize and lead business development for the agency's Emerging Technology team, where I was instrumental in leading the team to produce award-winning work and secure revenue in excess of $1M in the first year.

At Hogarth, a global production agency, I was Director of Operations where I orchestrated cross-functional teams across the Americas to adapt and produce assets at scale and deliver, globally.

I now call Los Angeles home, sharing it with my rescue dog, Mojo, an Australian Cattle Dog mix (yes, I love a challenge). When I’m not out hiking, you’ll find me cruising around in my vintage sports car, Pippa the MGB or at the Dodgers game, beer and hot dog in hand.
